イソップ物語は英語の音読教材として、とても役に立ちます。短くて分かりやすい文章が多く、登場する言葉も日常的なものが多いため、英語の基礎力をつけるのにぴったりです。
さらに、登場人物の会話や感情表現が豊かなので、抑揚やリズムを意識しながら読む練習にもなります。音読を通して、物語の流れや登場人物の気持ちをイメージしながら読むと、より効果的に学べますよ。
このコーナーでは、それぞれ物語の要点を４行で述べています。少し物足りないかもしれませんが、
まずは、音読暗唱しやすいように、要点だけにしてあります。音読で話の流れをつかんでおくと、
イソップ物語をフルバージョン読んでみると、スラスラと理解できるようになるので、英語を読むのが楽しくなってくるにちがいありません。
そうなるとしめたものです。もっといろいろなものを英語で読んでみたい、という意欲もわいてくるでしょう。英語を習い始めの方にとっては、音読学習は確かな英語力をつけるうえで、シンプルながらも強力な武器になります。
