014 ところ変わればマンガも変わる!
When I was in the U.S, my mother used to tell me not to read manga every day. At the age of 18 I came to Japan to study Japanese.
Here in Japan things are quite different. Almost Japanese students around me usually read comic books. Boys and girls read manga, even adults! In Japan there are many kinds of comic books.
People here have comic books about many different things.
Some are about people with magical power. But a lot of them are about ordinary people.
One day a Japanese friend of mine lent me a comic book.
It’s about fishing addict. It was really thick.
But it was so interesting that I could read it through very fast.
Most American comic books are thinner than Jpanese manga.
They are less interesting than Japanese comic books.
I’m really into comic books here in Japan.
I feel like living in a manga paradice. How happy I am to stay in Japan!
